Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was conceived on August 19, 1965. She is an American actress and producer. She is best known for her character as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her performance as Johnson. After the seventh season Sedgwick received a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in 2010. The series ended on August 13th, 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her recurring role in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's singles (1992), Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who is a speech and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick, a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was Episcopalian. She was also of English descent. Sedgwick is a self-described Jewish and has claimed that she attends in Passover seders.
